Laura P. Huylebroeck, Architect
Laura, a licensed architect in the state of California, has been with S^A since 2014. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arizona where she graduated Cum Laude and received both the prestigious national AIA Alpha Rho Chi Medal and a Capstone Project Award, as well as an athletic soccer scholarship. Laura’s work –From Ruin to Wetland –was a critical analysis of the possible transformations of historical structures and urban ruins.
At S^A, Laura has become a leader, top designer, and technical products and finish material specialist within the firm. She has taken on complex projects both large and small, leading them through all phases of design and construction. Laura leads our studio Culture of Practice (COP) workshops and is deeply involved in developing office standards supporting the integrity and efficiency of our work. Laura became an Associate Principal with the firm in 2020 and part owner in 2021. Laura is originally from the small town of Pinetop, Arizona, lives in San Francisco and contributes her two dogs, Huxley and Escher, to the pack.
